"Disappointing"4th March 2013
The hotel has a great location, right in the centre of Antwerp. Unfortunately the hotel itself is really old and tired. It does not reflect at all the standard I would usually expect from a Mercure hotel. The bathroom was particularly bad, not entirely clean and there was clearly visible damage to the bath that had been very badly repaired. The doors were flimsy and you could hear other guests in the hall. I mentioned this to the receptionist on check out and he indicated they were due for renovation in the near future. I would definitely not stay here again or recommend this hotel. Avoid.
"Mercure opera Antwerp"26th November 2012, Rouedois, Rouede
This hotel is located not more than 10 mins walk from central station and the rooms are spacious clean and comfortable at a reasonable price. Although i didnt try the breakfast I had the impression that the usual Accor high statndard fare would be available. Will use again.
"Good value at a good location"3rd October 2012, Delft
Very nice hotel at an excellent location. Walking distance from central station and Meir shopping area. Parking garage.Very spacious executive room with nespresso coffee maker, minibar and couch. Value for money.
"DISAPPOINTING"30th January 2012, ManInSeat42, Stowmarket
The street outside the hotel was totally dug up, making it very difficult to find the entrance and the car park. This may or may not also account for the bad smells that pervade the hotel. This house is new to Accor who did a lightweight refurb job 3 months ago. Some things are, however, left over from the old hotel - the washbasin was cracked, the hairdryer fell apart, the windows ran with condensation. The air conditioner (which apparently was new) wheezed and rattled all night. Not what you'd expect from Accor. Good location for the opera and shopping; less good if you want the old town.
